the greatest piano players in the music business. Elton John,
Billy Joel and Jerry Lee have all been awestruck by his raw energy and
incredible talent.
Jason plays more than 200 dates a year for more than 100.000 enthusiastic
listeners. In his spare time Jason enjoys nature and is an avid
birder. He can often be found exploring his more than 100 acre

Chris Sechler
Drums
-
BACKGROUND HISTORY-
Chris has been a member of the
Jason D. Williams organization for almost eleven years. Growing up in
eastern Pennsylvania, Chris was interested in music as a young child but
did not start performing until the age of fifteen. His first memories of
music are of listening to The Who and being in complete awe of the
drumming of Keith Moon. As Chris studied music more in depth, he
discovered the same kind of flamboyant, if somewhat less reckless, style
of Gene Krupa.
"Its all about blending the
styles together - on a moment's notice", Chris says. "The Jason D.
Williams show can be anything from the classic country of Hank Williams
to the rock-a-billy style of Carl Perkins to the rock stylings of Jimi
Hendrix. All done in the way only Jason can do it. If everyone is lucky,
we'll play some jazz."
Chris has played with too many
people to list but he feels that playing with an artist like Jason is
the most creative, challenging, fun and nurturing job anyone could ask
for. He says,"It really doesn't get any better than this." Chris was
previously the Director of Entertainment for a popular Mississippi
casino, so he definitely knows good entertainment
when he sees or hears it. He is also an accomplished engineer and
producer with too many credits to list. In his free time Chris can be
found at the helm of Nail Road Studios as owner, producer and head
engineer. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, thoroughbred
horses and champion show dogs.
